  As part of our ongoing efforts to protect cryptocurrency users from fraud, we have come across another disturbing case involving the infamous cryptocurrency wallet Freewallet Freewallet. Recently, a user from Russia contacted us with a disturbing story that exemplifies the deceptive tactics used by Freewallet.   The person, who preferred to remain anonymous, registered on Freewallet around April 21-22 and funded his wallet with a significant amount of $6,400. However, by April 26, he found that he could not access his funds because the wallet was stuck on an endless loading screen. Desperate and worried, the user contacted Freewallet support for help.   After contacting support, access to the wallet was temporarily restored, suggesting that the site's algorithm had automatically blocked the user's login.   We keep collecting stories of those people, whose assets were blocked by Freewallet administration. Any person may contact us via email freewallet-report@tutanota.com and get our help. Recently, I received notification from Freewallet that my account has been suspended pending Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) verification. However, upon further investigation, I suspect that this request may be illegal and indicative of fraudulent activity by the administration. A user who lost almost $2000 due to Freewallet contacted us with this text. The victim’s account was frozen under the pretext of the need to carry out KYC/AML procedures.   New investigations into Freewallet org are beginning in many countries. Previously, we wrote about appeals from victims from Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and Romania. Today a resident of Spain contacted us. A huge amount of money was stolen from the user, almost 50,000 euros. The victim had been using Freewallet since 2018. At first, the application really worked and even seemed convenient. By April 2024, the user’s balance was about 55,000 euros. But as soon as the victim tried to withdraw part of his savings, the account was immediately frozen!   Look at the transaction history. The client has been using Freewallet for a long time. There was no suspicious activity. And yet, the victim was blocked from withdrawing. Our lawyers helped draw up a crime report, which was submitted to Spanish law enforcement officers.
